Slick is a seasoned Barrel-/pole horse. He runs consistently 16’s and low 17 second
runs in long (rodeo) barrels. He wins money if not first EVERY time he competes.
He is sound. His fastest time for my daughter in long barrels winning first was a
16.712, and her record setting time for 4H course at High School Eq Team was 14.65.
These times were clocked in 2008.
He would make a good High school rodeo horse taking you to the finals. He is sound
and has some good years left in him.
He is also very talented in pole bending. He consistently runs 21. He could still do 19
and 20’s if ridden correctly. But you gotta be a good rider, He is powerful.
We have used him successfully in Barrels, Poles, Fig.8 and he loves cattle events like
Team Sorting and Steer daubing. He has even been used for a rodeo queen in a few
parades and run-in’s.
He is gentle, talented and good on trails. Is a dream to load and handle. For more
